We will randomly pick a winner to receive 3 images of your choice, and our DT will chose their top 3 creations.
For my Reminder Image, I'm using Christmas Hair Do.

It's from Wendy's newest release and just in time for Christmas!  After coloring her with copics, I used the water based white Sharpie fine and medium point markers to make the snowflakes and added some stickles for sparkle.  I thought the white feathers would make you think of snow swirls and then used a very glittery leaf frond as an accent.
On the inside, I used a gold swirl dp and a matching sentiment block.

Reminder that Color It Create It Show It Off has a Challenge going on--ATG

This is my reminder for you to to come join our Challenge over at Color It Create It Show It Off!  I'm using Lil Rascals: Lil Rosie Fall Days, Image 670 from Sherri Baldy.  Such a great chance to use all the Fall colors that I love.  Besides triple matting her in a sparkly burgundy and coffee brown cardstock, I love using this burlap paper and the brown wildflowers paper.  Accented the corner with 2 faceted burgundy Gemstones.  On the inside I sued the patterned paper again, and a sentiment for a Birthday card.  2 more smaller faceted stones for some bling and we're all set.

Now what could be easier than that?

We will randomly pick a winner to receive 3 images of your choice, and our DT will chose their top 3 creations.
My image for this challenge is called Boy's Christmas Stocking and I love the simple lines and I like the idea of a focus on a young boy during he Holidays.  I double matted him in green and Red Plaid on top of a forest of trees.  I kept it simple with 3 different sized wood trees in the corner.  In the inside, using the plaid again, I stamped a sentiment and topped it with a wooden star.

We do hope you will find the time to play along - You have a full month (until the evening of the 14th) to enter your creations.

Paper Nest Dolls Design Team and a great DIGITAL Image!

This is my first "official" card on the Paper Nest Dolls Design Team and  I'm so thrilled!  I've always loved the designs that Christine creates for PND and she carries both Rubber stamps AND digital ones.  This one here is digital and I can resize it to fit the space I need.
using Fall colors, I colored Ellie with Pumpkins with Copics, then used some design paper that gives the texture of grass, curving it so that it resembled grassy hills.  With a great sky paper that I often use for scenes, I placed a die cut tree I got from a friend and used some Flower Soft clumps on the branches to hopefully look like fall leaves.  I had some heavy cardstock Fall stickers for the sentiment on the front.
I always like to finish off the inside panel of my cards and this one isn't any different.  Appropriate leaf paper and another heavy sticker from the same Seasonal group was used.
Starting the first Monday of each month, there is a great PND Challenge taking place.  Come join us and get inspired!

"Winter Girls" Challenge over at Come and Get It!

The Challenge over at Come and Get It features "Winter Girls" and the gorgeous one that I got to use is called Winter Cardigan Girl from Lemon Shortbread.  These teen images just appeal to me, I imagine that my soon to be *16* yo Granddaughter has something to do with that!
Lemon Shortbreads' image faces are so sweet and precious-a joy to color.
So I chose some non-traditional colors in one of my favorite combinations-purple & green.  Added a snowy background paper and a snowy die cut from Memory Lane, and some frosty snowflakes and one can just feel the frost in the air.  While I had already added snowdrops, I decided to add some diamond stickles to add to the sparkle.
On the inside liner, I used another soft blue, frosty ornaments paper with a wonderful Christmas stamp from Stampabilities.  It's the official start to my Christmas cards and I have Come and Get It Challenge and Lemon Shortbread to thank for that!  Ho Ho Ho!

It's an ATG Challenge over at Color It Create It Show It Off---theme is "Thanks, Thankful

This is the perfect month for our "theme" over at Color It Create It Show It Off--"Thanks, Thankful".  There's so many opportunities to enter a Thank You card or project OR one that shows how thankful you are on this Thanksgiving, into our Blog Challenge.
I'm using the beautiful image by Sherri Baldy called Little White Dove and Running Bear and she can be found here, in Sherri's store.
After Coloring her up with my Copics, I used some dark metal brads to mount her, added a silk Fall leaf and placed a sentiment perfect for Thanksgiving.  I tried to give her a back to Nature feel with the leaf paper.
On the inside of the card, I used a tree like paper and a Thanksgiving Day Sentiment.  This will be going to a family member for that special Day.
I encourage you to join in the fun with the ATG Challenge and show us what YOU are Thankful for!

Pilgrim Girl from Paper Nest Dolls--my first Inspiration post for Thanksgiving

Hi Everyone!  This is my first card for Paper Nest Dolls and I'm thrilled to death to be joining you Ladies for the Nov. 1st post.  Until then, I'd like to share an inspiration card for you for the upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday, using Pilgrim Girl!  She was an absolute dream to color up using copics.  I found some "heritage-like" design papers and added some hand-crocheted (HMBM) small flowers in the colors of the card for the corner.  I've been waiting for just the right creation to share them!  With the pearl centers, they are nestled in among the paper flowers and buds.  On the inside, I finished it with the same paper and a stamped Thanksgiving sentiment.  I can't wait to join you in November and am looking forward to using all of Christines' gorgeous images!

Bugaboo Sponsors us over at Come and Get it Challenge-ADD A PUMPKIN

What with Halloween coming soon to everyone's neighborhood, this image from Bugaboo called Autumn Owl is GREAT to use!  The "recipe" was to Add A Pumpkin, which I did on the front left corner with a foam dot! So sparkly with that orange glitter!
I used some special design paper, hoping that the circles would remind you of fireflies?  Some of them are embossed with glitter.  I just love the Fall coloring that the fence inspires me to color, what with the owl, pumpkins, sunflowers, and multi-colored leaves.  I'm hoping that you can see the black wired branches behind the glittered pumpkin with the black balls on the ends-they were so interesting!  I often wander the bridal aisle at HL and look for crystals..balls that can be used on a card-very unique.  You should try it too!
On the inside I used the reverse side of the nighttime paper and stamped it with a special KKS clear acrylic stamp.  Sure is getting me in the spirit for Fall events!  Come on over and join or challenge-we'd love to see what you make!!

All Dressed Up reminds you Of their CHALLENGE Going on--I'm using SNOW DAYS!

I'm so excited that over at All Dressed Up Images there are some Winter/Christmas digis in with the New Releases that debuted on the 7th!!
I love Christmas-one of my FAVORITE Holidays ever.  So my choice for this card is called Snow Days!  I colored this bundle of icy crystals with Prismacolor pencils-think I'm getting a little better with practice.  Now the background is done with copics so I could get that smooth blend of light blues to deep ones.
Then using some metallic cardstock from TPC (white shimmery and blue with shimmery flecks in it) as mats, I then used 2 different design papers.  The sentiment is already on the print BUT I enhanced the image with half domed white snowballs-they shimmer also, and some blue and silver metallic snowflakes.
The inside is also finished and a Christmas greeting is stamped onto a special circle mat.  Hope you like and hope you remember that there is still a Challenge going on over at All Dressed Up!

REMINDER of a Color It Create It Show It Off CHALLENGE! It's time for FALL

I always like this time of year when I can bring out my Black Sparkly cardstock to use as a background when I take my October images! It makes them so special!
This special card is to REMIND each and every one of you that we have a Challenge going on over at Color It Create It Show It Off and you still have time to join us!  There are some adorable Sherri Baldy images to choose from if you're a winner!
I chose to use  Scan0011 (or as I call her Fall Girl hehe) and I really went full out FALL COLORS on this one!!  The real reason there's so many patterns on the that I liked ALL of them and couldn't make up my mind!  The one with the leaves has shiny embossed sections on it-swoon!  Love adding buttons (THAT comes from my Mom), I accented the bottom edge with mini yellow pompom fringe to give different texture and topped it off with a tag stamped with a KKS stamp and orange epoxy dot.  I always finish the inside of the cards I make and this time used a kraft and pumpkin paper with yet another KKS stamp and dots.
Hope this got your creative juices going and you're chomping at the bit to join our Challenge over at CICISIO!

Added some accent buttons and then used a design paper that had green bats flying around.
On the inside, I used the reverse side of the bat paper and then stamped it with a great Halloween sentiment from KKS.

And the Spooky Fun begins with our October 1st Challenge over at Color It Create It Show It Off--You can use whatever image you'd like and any medium that peaks your fancy -we have started using "themes" every month and this month it's HALLOWEEN!
I had such fun using one of Sherri Baldy's Fun Halloween images which is Lil Rascals Img 533 --Love the Lil Rascals cute facial expressions!!  I colored her in a combination of prismacolor pencils and copics.  I'm just getting used to the pencils and they are fantastic to use-hopefully I will soon do a complete image with them when I get brave enough!  I double matted the image and used sheer black ribbon for an accent.  Then I found this dimensional Halloween banner "Haunted" and attached it with brads and adhesive.  I will be so excited to send this to a long lost friend!

On the inside I used some batty background design paper, a great sentiment stamp from KKS and an accent of a felt pumpkin.
We hope that we see your creations for our challenge--it's well worth the effort to have a chance to win Sherri's images--If you use the Theme of the Challenge, here are the images that you could choose from if you are the winner:
I'm entering this in the following:

Come and Get It Challenge is ATG!! Come see my Sherri Baldy Harvest Girl Thanksgiving card!

Oh I do so love this time of year when the leaves are turning beautiful colors, there's a crispness in the air and you are just Thankful for seeing all the Season's Beauty.
Over at Come and Get It we have a Challenge going on and would love to see whatever creation you'd like to share with us!  Di's Digis is our sponsor this week and it's an ATG Challenge-we all love those don't we!
The Image I chose to use is called Img654 Lil Harvest Indian Girl by Sherri Baldy.  I just adore her and love all the intricate details that Sherri's drawn into this image.  From her leather wrapped hair, the beading on her dress and boots, then to the feathers in her hair or the
buckskin she's wearing--It was all so much fun to color.
I'm still trying to learn more and more about Prismacolor pencils when I've been hooked on Copics forever.  So I find that I tend to use a blend of both.  The pencils for the fine detail and tight spaces and the copics for a more broad application.  The Best of both Worlds in my opinion.  On this card, I used a dark brown heavily creased handmade paper in the background.  Then I used a leafy cream print that really brings out the buckskin color.  I added a touch of raffia wrap and then 2 thick accents in the corner that were actually found in the party aisle--they were Picks that you might insert in a cupcake perhaps.  I'm always looking in unusual places for embellishments-not just in the scrapbook area of a store.  Think outside the box.  On the inside, an acorn design paper, stamped sentiment from KKS and then I glued the tiny leaf(s) on the mat and down the falling leaves!  Hope you like-come on over and join us!!

A reminder to Come over to All Dressed Up and Play with us!!

When I chose the "3 Little Autumn Girls " to use I wanted to try and use as many of them as I could.  For this 6x6 card, I folded the front face of the card back and that was the staging for the girl with the blue cap.  The girl with the highlights in her hair is actually laying flat on the inside right panel.   I lined up the "burlap" mats and added Fall Flower Soft with glue to the ground under their feet.
When you pull open the left panel, you can see that there is more burlap paper filling the whole inside of the card.  I used a large fishtail die cut from a friend and then stamped it with a great KKS stamp with a yummy chocolate Colorbox ink.
This is basically a reminder to come over and check out the challenge that's still going over on our blog.
There are so many talented artists on the DT-come on over and meet us--this is a great challenge!  I love this time of year when the air is getting crisper and cooler.  Happy Fall Y'all!
